GED (General Education Development)

Dearborn Adult Education offers GED preparation classes to those preparing for the GED test. Focus is on the five areas of reading, writing, social studies, math, and science.

Eligibility
GED students must be 18 years or older as of September 1.  Students must be able to read and write English at the 9th grade level and possess 9th grade math skills.  (Students assessed below the 9th grade reading level will be placed in Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes focused on building reading and math skills.)

Locations
GED Preparation classes will be held at the Henry Ford College, Building K, 5101 Greenfield Road, Dearborn, MI

Class Schedule
Day classes are two hour classes that meet Monday through Friday from 8:30-10:30; 10:30-12:30, and 1-3:00. Classes are 12 weeks.

Evening classes are three hour classes that meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Classes are 15 weeks.
