Meet our Interim Superintendent

Lamis Srour began her role as Interim Superintendent for Dearborn Public Schools on Dec. 5, 2025.

Before that, she served for three years as the district’s Executive Director of Student Achievement for the Edsel Ford Feeder Track. In this role, she supports and oversees administrators, leads curriculum design and initiatives at the elementary level, and oversees all early childhood programs.

Additionally, she leads an interfaith consortium where local faith leaders connect with district cabinet-level staff in an effort to build relationships focused on sharing of information, providing clarity, and collectively meeting the needs of their shared communities.

Prior to being named an Executive Director, Ms. Srour served as an elementary school principal in the district for nine years, during which time her school ranked among the top performing in the State of Michigan in writing and literacy.  She started working for the district in 1998.

Ms. Srour holds an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master’s Degree in Reading, and an ESL certificate.  She is also a trainer of trainers in various best practices in instruction and student behavior.
