Before there was You Tube and the ability to capture video on your phone, there was local access cable and WDHS television. Now, more than 30 years later, that simple video production class has evolved into an award winning, premiere multimedia instructional program.

Students start in classes that teach the basics of television production. They move on to more advance classes culminating in a movie completely done by students. The entire production is captured and edited on the same video and sound equipment and editing software being used in the professional film and television industry. These classes currently are only offered at Dearborn High.
Graduates of the program have gone on to work in New York, Chicago, L.A. and right here in the Metro Detroit area. They have been involved in all aspects of the film and television industry including work on major motion pictures, network and local television, post-production facilities, marketing and advertising agencies, and a host of other professions related to the industry.
