The Technology Readiness Infrastructure Grant (TRIG) in conjunction with Dell, Inc., is excited to bring your district an opportunity to learn about XBL and Next Generation Assessments, offered to you at no cost.

All three of the popular Next Generation PD series of Dell VIRTUAL courses as well as the new course, “Refining Curriculum with Deeper Learning in Mind (XBL)” will begin running  on March 2, 2015. These are open to ALL DISTRICTS and being offered as a result of the 2013 TRIG Bid.  

Participants will explore and apply aspects of technology integration, blended learning and data collection toward the creation of a classroom-ready assessment that is grade level and subject area appropriate. 

Courses Offered: 

Introduction to Next Generation Assessments

Educators will understand and facilitate Michigan’s vision for Next Generation assessments by learning and applying appropriate strategies, structures, and support practices through this six-hour virtual course.

Intermediate Application of Next Generation Assessments

Michigan educators will expand their existing knowledge base on Next Generation assessments by applying additional strategies, structures, and support practices through this six-hour virtual course

Advanced Application of Next Generation Assessment 

Michigan educators with a strong existing background in technology integration and Next Generation assessments will participate in a ‘masters class’ through this six-hour virtual course.

Refining Curriculum with Deeper Learning in Mind (XBL)

Participants will learn and apply best practices in project-, problem- and inquiry-based learning toward the development of a lesson, unit and/or assessment that they will deliver within and beyond their classrooms.
