Formative Assessment Training

Thirty teachers, along with a few administrators, have been attending Formative Assessment Trainings this year with Ellen Vorenkamp.  The trainings have been held after school and on Saturdays.  The turnout has been great and many new skills have been learned.  Here is a link to a video that was shared during one of the trainings.  It emphasizes the differences between learning and performing. This understanding is critical to how we can help students approach a learning task and how we give feedback to them during the learning process.
