It is the \u201cRegional Enhancement Millage Proposal.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content-asset videofit\"><iframe title=\"RESA Millage Presentation from October Board Meeting\" width=\"720\" height=\"540\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/He8P0xBzeGg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" data-load-mode=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools.\u00a0 Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The proposal would cost a homeowner with a home value of $150,000 (Taxable value of $75,000) about $15 per month.<\/p>\n<p>The Board of Education and Administration have discussed possible uses for the funds which could include items such as: recruitment and retention of staff, maintenance of district buildings, technology, improve school programs, and supporting classroom and instructional needs.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Important Facts to Consider &#8211; Wayne County Stats<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Percentage of students living in poverty in Wayne County is 43% vs.17% statewide.
