Greetings Faculty,<\/p>\n
The state has adopted legislation which will keep the student growth data weight at 25%. \u00a0Thus we are still under the same formula that we used last year. However, we are in the process of reviewing that formula since we have recently adopted the NWEA assessment. The District Evaluation Committee will be meeting on September 25th. \u00a0Please understand that any changes in the formula will be deliberate and will take some time as we implement this new assessment. \u00a0It is fine to create goals without getting specific on the NWEA portion as we learn about the best way to use and implement this new assessment.<\/p>\n
As a result, \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Goals should be written and approved by September 30<\/i>th<\/i> for Plan 1 and October 25<\/i>th<\/i> for Plan II teachers. \u00a0\u00a0As far as how to measure growth state the following as an example: \u201cmultiple measures will be used \u00a0including NWEA, Lexile data, MEAP (3 year data), etc. \u201d \u00a0Specific formulas for the amount of growth in NWEA will be determined by the evaluation committee and may be added at a later date.<\/i><\/p>\n
