How do I get started at my school?

You will need to contact the district webmaster: email | 827-3084
To begin the process, however, you will need to consider the following:

  • Who will be the school web person? This person is responsible for managing school webpages (not teacher pages). This person also handles adding users for the school using Macromedia Contribute. This is the main contact in the school for web related activities.
  • Has anyone in our building attended Contribute training? The district is offering training for teachers to learn how to use web publishing software - Contribute.

Connecting to a Dearborn School Site to begin editing

DPS Connection KeyClick on the Contribute Key Icon on the left to download the connection key.  Connecting to a school website requires that you are a DPS employee and that you download the connection key located on the left side of this page. Once you download the Connection Key to your computer, double click on it to get started. It will automatically open Contribute for you. You MUST have this Key and be assigned to a school website. Your school web person can add you to the site or you can contact Chris Kenniburg (ext. 73084) for assistance. Here are some detailed instructions for opening a connection inside Contribute.
