The Office of Assessment, Program Planning and Evaluation is part of the Department of Instructional Services. It facilitates the development of classroom assessments and district report cards for the elementary and secondary grades. Additionally, the office coordinates the administration of district and state assessments and provides teachers and administrators with the necessary support and professional development about test administration and interpretation. Ongoing assistance is provided to examine student assessment results to improve academic achievement and determine the effectiveness of interventions and programs.
