Thornley Court Annual Poinsettia Sale
For students at Edsel Ford High School, and nearby neighbors, it’s not uncommon to hear the call of peacocks ringing out during the day. The reason, peacocks are just one of the animals that make the school, specifically a courtyard known as “Thornley Court,” their home. Several ducks, a few geese, and a rabbit or two can also be found running around this protected natural sanctuary.

The Environmental Science classes take care of the courtyard during the year and hold an annual Poinsettia sale to provide feed and bedding for the animals during the winter. All mini, single, and double flowers come in white, red, and pink and are priced from $5 to $20. Orders and payments must be turned in by November 20, 2012. If you are interested in purchasing a beautiful Poinsettia plant please contact Edsel Ford High School at (313) 827-1500.
