assessment Data-driven instruction

The Office of Assessment and Evaluation is part of the Department of Instructional Services. Its mission is to narrow the achievement gap by providing systemic professional development and sustaining local leadership to help ensure that all learners achieve academically across content areas. Research-based practices are implemented to ensure that English language learners, economically disadvantaged and immigrant students attain English language proficiency and content mastery successfully.

Additionally, the office coordinates the development and administration of district and state assessments and provides teachers and administrators with the necessary support and professional development about test administration and interpretation. Ongoing assistance is provided to examine student assessment results in order to improve students' academic achievement and determine effectiveness of programs and interventions.
